BAS Respondent Guides

There are six BAS respondent guides covering different methods of participation. There are two guides for paper; local and tribal. Both guides are included in this approval package. There is a separate respondent guide for the MAF/TIGER Partnership Software which is available for all government types. There are also two Digital BAS respondent guides; local and tribal. Both guides are included in this approval package. The sixth respondent guide for Web BAS is not included in this approval package, as the Web BAS software is in development. The guide will be similar to the MAF/TIGER Partnership guide. The instructions will be the same, but the operational flow and graphics will differ to match the software.

Please note that the 2008 materials are significantly revised from the last set approved in 2005. Changes accommodate the variety of new and traditional response methods available to BAS participants. The participants are sent only one guide based on their selected choice in the Advance Response material. An entity that did not answer the Advance Response will receive the paper guide.
