This ia a new collection of information relating to a one-time survey that the American Association of Suicidology (AAS) will be conducting on behalf of FRA/FTA. The purpose of the proposed study is to develop a better understanding of rail-related suicides in order to develop effective suicide prevention countermeasures to reduce the annual incidence of such events. An estimated 280 respondents will complete the survey's reporting requirements; a total of 5,670 annual respondents and a total annual burden of 537 hours are estimated. The proposed survey involves no recordkeeping requirements.
