Note that for a
reinstatement request like this one, the baseline for the change in
burden hours is properly zero--since no collection is currently
authorized--rather than the burden of the previously authorized
collection. In the future, kindly include information for the
collection's line of business.

The Board needs in each abandonment
proceeding a detailed map depicting the subject rail line in
relation to other rail lines, roads, water routes, and population
centers. The agency will use this information to facilitate
informed decision making, and the map also serves as notice to
affected shippers and communities. Respondents are
railroads.
The burden increase is due to
an increase in the estimated number of respondents. (Some of the
burden information on the ROCIS form is incorrect. See supporting
statement for correct information regarding burdens. Please see
also separate email to Alex Hunt explaining the difficulty
inputting accurate burden information onto the ROCIS form.)
