This collection is needed to evaluate
trends in resource use. It provides timber industry
representatives, researchers, natural resource analysts, and
decision makers with continuing comprehensive assessments of the
present and future demand for renewable wood resources, from both
public and private timberlands, in order to forecast future
supplies and analyze changes in demand. Respondents are primary
wood-using industries.

This is a revision of a
previously approved information collection package. The estimated
total burden has decreased as a result of a decrease of burden in
the North Central Region, Southern Region and the Pacific Northwest
Region. The decrease is the result of the concentration of annual
production into fewer but larger mills.
