The National Marine Fisheries Service
(NOAA Fisheries Service) would require that operators of fishing
tournaments involving Atlantic Highly Migratory Species (HMS)
provide advance identification of the tournament (registration) and
then, for selected tournaments, provide summary information after
the tournament is completed (reporting) on the HMS caught, whether
they were kept or released, the length and weight of the fish, and
other information. Most of the data required for post- tournament
reporting is already collected in the routine course of tournament
operations. The data collected is needed by NOAA

the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
