This collection
is approved for 6 months due to DHS' inability to respond to issues
identified in its review. OMB is providing this grace period so as
not to absorb DHS resources required for the response to Hurricane
Katrina. DHS must resubmit this collection for OMB review and
approval, including an appendix responding explicitly to the
outstanding concerns identified below, before the expiration of the
6 month period provided here. Prior to resubmission, OMB will work
with DHS and CIS leadership to improve CIS' ability to manage its
PRA processes. Unresolved issues include lack of progress (or
identification of plans or timelines to improves that progress) of
automation of the collection of this information.
