and local-level officials responsible for the collection of
marriage and divorce data will gather data on the state and local
processes for collecting, reporting, maintaining, and aggregating
vital statistics. The information will assist ACF in developing
options for strengthening marriage and divorce data, which will in
turn lead to improved monitoring of the well-being of children and
families, improved data collection for research on marriage and
family life, and stronger evaluation of family formation and
healthy marriage initiatives at the....
