Abstract: The information collected under FERC-550 is used by FERC to implement statutory provisions of Part, section 1, 6, and 15 of the Interstate Commerce Act (ICA) (Pub.L. 337, 34 Stat. 384). The filing requirements provide the basis for analysis of all rates, fares, ro charges whatsoever demanded, charged or collect- ed by any common carrier or carriers in connection with the transportation of crude oil and petroleum products and are used by FERC to establish a basis for determining the just and rea- sonable rates that should be charged by the regulated pipeline company.
