Under the Food and Drug Cosmetic Act,
the FDA has the responsibility to prevent interstate distribution
of food products which are potentially hazardous to the public
health. The information collection will enable FDA to excercise
better control and increase assurance that containers of acidified
food and thermally processed low acid food receives a process which
renders the food safe from a microorganisms of health
concern.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
