Abstract: VA Form 21-8940 is used to gather information that is necessary to determine eligibility for increased compensation based on unemployability. Current information regarding a claimant's medical, educational, and occupational history is required in order to determine whether he/she is unable to secure or follow a substantially gainful occupation due to service-connected disabilities. Without this information, entitlement could not be determined.
