This collection
is approved with the following terms of clearance , including the
written responses received from EIA on 9.23.2004 and further
discussions with EIA on that same date: a) The survey will begin no
earlier than January 2005; b) Respondents participating in the
survey will be notified no less than 45 days prior to the first
reporting deadline; c) Respondents will be granted a 60 day
reporting deadline for the first three months of reporting and a 40
day reporting deadline thereafter; d) Respondents shall submit
adjustments whenever errors exceed 4% of the initial submission (in
either direction) e) Adjustments less than 4% are strictly
voluntary. When applying for renewal of this collection, the EIA
shall report on the following: 1) Status of cooperation with IOGCC
to increase quality of reported data, and status of cooperation
between the individual states and MMS, with particular focus on
reducing duplicative collections; 2) Whether improvements to state
collections allow some states to be dropped from the survey frame,
with a specific analysis of the Texas collection; 3) Status of Form
895.

The purpose of the survey is to
collect monthly data on the production of natural gas in seven
geographical areas as follows: Texas (including State offshore),
Louisiana (including State offshore), Oklahoma, New Mexico,
Wyoming, Federal Gulf of Mexico offshore and Other States (defined
as all remaining states, excluding Alaska, in which the operator
produced natural gas during the report month). Data will be used to
monitor natural gas supplies. Survey respondents would be a sample
of well opeators.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
