Extension without change of a currently approved collection
The Department
of Education will issue guidance to schools on what aggregate data
must be reported in terms of race and ethnicity. The next
submission of this package will reflect changes to the
race/ethnicity categories, as approved by OMB. In addition, this
collection will be phased out with the completion of the
Performance Based Management Initiative.

This package provides instructions and
forms necessary for States to report, by race and ethnicity, the
number of infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families
receiving different types of Part C services, and the number of
personnel employed and contracted to provide services for infants
and toddlers with disabilities and their families. Data are
obtained from state and local service agencies and are used to
assess and monitor the implementation of IDEA and for Congressional
reporting.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
