Terms of Clearance: Question SINT2c should be revised to include a response category "Privacy and security concerns." Question QSINT6 should be revised to include a response category "Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)." Census should provide to OMB a draft questionnaire of any future CPS Supplement on Computer Use early in the development process prior to final programming and testing of the instrument. This will facilitate coordination, review, and possible changes to the instrument in order for Census to have sufficient time to implement such changes.

Abstract: The school enrollment supplement provides basic school enrollment data for persons 3 years old or older who are enrolled in nursery, kindergarten, elementary school, high school, college, and vocational technical schools. In addition to enrollment data it also provides information on grade retention. The computer use supplement provides data which assists in the development of policies concerning information telecommunication and in the development of statistical profiles of disadvantaged groups.
