SIPP Wave 9
Topical Module will include Item ME40c that asks "How often does
[child] go to a religious service, a religious social event, or to
religious education such as a Sunday School." This is a
reinstatement of a question used on earlier versions of the SIPP.
Just prior to asking the question, the interviewer will read the
following transition statement: I am finished asking questions
about [child] health, but do have one question about [his/her]
participation in religious activities. Census agreed to insert this
statement in part because there was not another good place to add
the religious activity question.
