The Forest Service seeks approval for
a new information collection required by 36 CFR Part 230, Subpart C
(new) for participation of nonindustrial private forest (NIPF)
owners in the new program entitled the Forest Land Enhancement
Program (FLEP), authorized in the Farm Security and Rural
Investment Act of 2002 (Public Law 107-171) through an amendment to
the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act (16 U.S.C. 2103). FLEP will
be implemented through State Forestry agencies. This information
collection identifies: 1) State Priority Plans which guide program
implementation and are prepared by State Forestry
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
