This package is
cleared for 3 years, consistent with changes to burden in
disclosure statement, language changes as to number of copies
required, a competitive preference on underrepresented groups, and
evaluation requirements (required for all applicants) ED will
ensure that updated versions of standard forms are included in
future versions of the package. (See correspondence 5/8 and 5/12 of
2003). In addition, ED will continue to ensure that this package
remains in line with efforts to comply with the government-wide
grant streamlining initiative.

Under the individuals with
Disabilities Education Act discretionary grants are authorized to
support research and technology, personnel preparation, parent
training, and information and technical assisstance activities. The
grant application provides the forms and information necessary for
applicants to submit and application for funding, and inforamtion
for use be technical reviewers to determine the quality of
application.
