State educational agencies were
required to submit State Plans to the U.S. Department of Education
in order to receive funds under Part B of the Individuals with
Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Each State now has a State Plan
on file with the Department. Any policies and procedures that are
currently on file that are consistent with the 1997 amendments to
IDEA remain in effect, unless the Secretary or the State determine
the need for a change.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
