The Governor or duly authorized
official applies for exemption from the requirements for the
purchase of flood insurance for State-owned structures and their
contents by providing sufficient supporting documentation to the
Administrator, FIA, who certifies that the State's plan of
self-insurance meets or exceeds the standards set forth in 44 CFR
75.11. States whose plans meet or exceed the standards are
certified and exempted from the requirements to purchase flood
insurance.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
