Abstract: A short inventory questionnaire will be completed by all mental health care and managed care organizations in the U.S. to obtain minimal information to establish a universe for the later sample survey and to provide information for a directory. From the Inventory, a sample will be drawn for a more extensive survey to obtain information on ownership, management, characteristics of clients/patients served, source of revenue for the organization, expenditures, and staffing.
