Gather data to help the IRS address
the question of whether it should provide alternative non-Social
Security Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TINs) to individuals
raising religious or conscience-based objections to the use of
Social Security Numbers to identify their minor children. We will
use three different surveys targeted at three different
audiences.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
