initiate rulemaking to update and simplify this standard with the
goal of eliminating unnecessary requirements and reducing the
unnecessary burdens. In revising the standard, MSHA should consider
current practice in the mining and manufacturing industries. MSHA
will report to OMB its progress in this effort upon resubmission of
this collection.

Requires manufacturers of sanitary
toilet facilities to obtain MSHA approval of units prior to use at
coal mine operations. Approval of the facilities is required to
insure a healthier environment for miners.
