The collected information is necessary
to ensure that applicants meet the requirements of the forest
products removal program that permittees obtaining free use of
forest products qualify for the program, that applicants purchasing
permits non-competitively to harvest forest products do not exceed
the authorized limit in an fiscal year, and that the permittee can
be identified in the field by Forest Service compliance
personnel.
