Section 73.68(b) permits licensees of
AM stations with antenna monitor sampling systems who meet
performance standards to file informal requests for approval of
their sampling systems. Section 73.69(d) requires that a request
for modification of station license be filed when the antenna
system is modified or components of the sampling system are
replaced. The data is used by FCC staff to maintain complete
technical information regarding licensees to insure that the
sampling system is not causing interference to other stations and
to issue a modified license.
