The collection of information
contained in final rule 44 CFR Part 204 will be used by local
governments, States and FEMA staff to facilitate the declaration
request and grant administration processes of the Fire Management
Assistance Grant Program. The assistance includes grants,
equipment, supplies, and personnel to any State or local government
for the mitigation, management and control of any fire on public or
private forest land or grassland that threatens such destruction as
would constitute a major disaster.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
