Collection, analysis, and
dissemination of animal and poultry health information on a
national basis is consistent with the APHIS mission of protecting
and improving American agriculture's productivity and
competitiveness. APHIS' National Animal Health Monitoring System
(NAHMS) is collecting and desseminating information that is not
available from any other source on the prevalence and economic
importance of livestock and poultry health/disease.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
