The Census of Tribal Justice Agencies
will obtain comprehensive baseline information about tribal justice
agencies in all American Indian tribes and native Alaskan villages.
This will be the first comprehensive effort to document all justice
agencies operating in Indian Country, including prosecution, court
systems, and where necessary, law enforcement agencies and
detention facilities. Data will also be collected on information
case management systems and statistical reporting
capabilities.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
