The U.S. Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC) is applying for continued OMB approval of a
pilot project of sentinel surveillance for chronic liver disease.
Chronic liver disease, including chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis,
is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in the United
States.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
