The following
terms of clearance are set due to the sensitivity of this project:
(1) govt entities who submit challenges under this program should
receive a confirmation that includes a time period when they should
expect to hear back from Census; (2) beginning with the quarter
ending Sept 30, 2001, Census should send OMB a short summary of
program status that includes the number of challenges received by
type of challenge (boundary, geocoding, or coverage) and the
resolution of each challenge. (3) Census should notify OMB of any
issuance of revised official Census 2000 population and housing
unit counts for affected government entities.

The Census 2000 Count Question
Resolution program will be used to respond to challenges to the
Census 2000 housing unit counts and group quarters population
counts received from local and tribal governmental entities in the
U.S. and Puerto Rico.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
