Test Procedures, Labeling, and Certification Requirements for
Electric Motors
Reinstatement without change of a previously approved
collection
The Department of Energy must enforce
energy, efficiency stan- dards specified by Statute, and must
require that manufacturers label electric motors to show their
energy efficiency, and certify that those motors meet specified
energy efficiency standards. 42 USC 6313(b), 6315 and 6316. The
requests for information are necessary for the Department to meet
its enforce- ment responsibilities and to implement the statutory
labeling and certification requirements.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
