The Minerals Management Service uses
the information to determine if the applicant filing for a lease in
the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) is qualified to hold such a
lease, to verify qualification of bidders and eligibility of joint
bidders, and to verify lessees have adequate bonding coverage.
Respondents are Federal OCS sulphur or oil and gas lessees and
bidders on OCS lease sales. Respondents are Federal OCS oil, gas,
and sulphur lessees.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
