approved for 15 months, to allow for the first round of data
collection. In future submissions for longitudinal data collection,
ED shall submit a detailed summary of location rates and interview
completion rates. If the interview rates fall below 80%, or the
location rates fall below 90%, OMB will determine if the
longitudinal portion of the study will be compromised by biases
because of low response rates.

NLTS2 will provide nationally
representative information about youth with disabilities in
secondary school and in transition to adult life, including their
characteristics, programs and services and achievements in multiple
domains (e.g., employment, postsecondary education). The study will
inform special education policy development and support GPRA
measurement and IDEA reauthorization.
