The Supplement to HIV/AIDS
Surveillance (SHAS) project interviews HIV-infected persons on
their socio-demographics, sexual/drug using behaviors, reasons for
and time of HIV testing, access to medical/social services,
access/adherence to therapy and disability. This information is
used by government at the local, state, and national level for
planning and evaluating prevention programs and allocating care and
service dollars.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
