this generic clearance within 10 working days. Relevant supporting
materials must be provided along with each submission, including
cost and time burden for each individual survey.

The Higher Education Amendments of
1998 established the Office of Student Financial Assistance (SFA)
as the Government's first Performance-Based Organization (PBO).
That legislation specifies that one purpose of the PBO is to
improve program services and processes for students and other
participants in the student financial assistance programs. This
requirement establishes an ongoing need for SFA to be engaged in an
interactactive process of collecting information and using it to
improve the delivery of student financial aid. As such, SFA is
seeking OMB approval of a clearance process for customer
satisfaction surveys and....
