The US EPA is amending the regulations
for hazardous waste management under the Resource Conservation and
Recovery Act (RCRA). EPA is listing as hazardous two wastes
generated during the production of chlorinated aliphatics. This
action is taken under the authority of RCRA section 3001(b)(1),
which authorizes EPA to list wastes as hazardous, and section
3001(e)(2), which directes EPA to make a decision whether to list
as hazardous the various chlorinated aliphatics wastes.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
