This study will collect data from meat
and poultry slaughter and processing plants on the manufacturing
practices and technologies they use to control pathogens. It will
also obtain information on their costs of implementing the HACCP
regulation, i.e. Pathogen Reduction Act. Data will be used in a
research report for the benefit of Congress and other policy-makers
and other interested parties. The submission requests clearance for
proceeding with a survey using the attached
questionnaires.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that

1320.8(b)(3).
