This study will involve the
solicitation of documents and follow-up telephone interviews with
State food stamp directors in each of the 50 States and the
District of Columbia. Information will be collected to describe the
changes that State and local administrative agencies are adopting
to re-engineer their delivery of Food Stamp Program services in
response to welfare reform. In addition, intensive case studies
will be conducted in six States to provide a richer descriptive
profile of how FSP administrative practices have changed as a
result of welfare reform.
