MNFS plans to issue interim
regulations to implement major provisions of the American Fisheries
Act. As part of the implementation, certain participating shoreside
processors in Alaska will be required to submit electronic
logbooks. Certain Fishery Cooperatives will have to submit copies
of their contract catch reports, and preliminary and final annual
reports. Participating motherships and caycher/processors will need
to request scale inspections and to print and retain certain
weights from their scales. This information is necessary to track
and manage the fisheries.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
