The information contained in the
annual performance reports for adult education is needed to monitor
the performance of the activities and services funded under the
Adult Education and Family Literacy Act of 1998, to report to
Congress on the levels of performance achieved on the core
indicators of performance, to provide necessary outcome information
to meet OVAE's GPRA goals for adult education, and to provide
documentation for incentive awards under title V of the Workforce
Investment Act. The respondents include eligible agencies in 59
States and insular areas.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
