Abstract: This assessment of State and territorial health departments is being conducted in concert with the President's Council on Year 2000 Conversion Workgroup on the Healthcare Sector. Its purpose is to determine the readiness of public health services in State and local governments regarding year 2000 compliance and contingency planning.
