Per agreement
with OMB, the agency will modify its contract with the vendor to
ensure that survey responses are kept confidential and it will
conduct a nonresponse follow-up study during the pretest. Also, the
agency should begin exploring alternative methodologies that will
help ensure that future versions of the NPTS/ATS will achieve
generalizable results. In its review of the NPTS/ATS, OMB will take
into consideration the results of the pretest, including the
response rates achieved.
