FCC's Rules and Regulations, part 11
Emergency Alert System (EAS) of the 47 CFR, requires broadcasting
stations (FM, AM, and TV) and cable TV systems must be able to
transmit and receive at the national level EAS messages. Further,
FCC's Rules and Regulations part 11.61 require participating
broadcasting stations and cable TV systems to test their EAS
equipment weekly.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
