Rule 15b7-3T limits the activites of
broker-dealers with material Year 2000 problems. The rule requires
that broker-dealers must be operationally capable and prevents
broker-dealers with material Year 2000 problems from performing
certain activities after August 31, 1999. The rule also provides
that, after August 31, 1999, broker-dealers with material Year 2000
problems must provide notice to the Commission and may continue to
operate until October 15, 1999, if they submit a certificate to the
Commission containing information regarding their Year 2000
readiness.
