Rule 17Ad-21T limits the activities of
non-bank transfer agents with material Year 2000 problems. The rule
requires that transfer agents must be operationally capable and
prevents non-bank transfer agents with material Year 2000 problems
from performing certain activities after August 31, 1999. Rule
17Ad-21T(c) provides that, after August 31, 1999, non-bank transfer
agents with material Year 2000 problems must provide notice to the
Commission. Rule 17Ad-21T(e) provides that non-bank transfer agents
with material Year 2000 problems after August 31, 1999, may
continue to operate until October 15, 1999..
