The Center for Substance Abuse
Treatment (CSAT) awarded 14 contracts to States to develop and test
components of outcome monitoring systems. Eleven of these States
collected data on the status of clients at entry to, discharge
from, or at a period following completion of treatment to gauge
clients' level of functioning or change in status; several States
also collected data on the services received by clients during
treatment. CSAT intends to disseminate findings from these pilot
studies, including experience of States with implementation of
their studies, to other States interested in developing their
own....
