collection provisions asociated with the NPRM for the H1B program
are not approved at thsi time. DOL is examining public comment
inresponse to this NPRM. The preamble to the final rule will
address how the agency has addressed concerns related to minimizing
the burden of this collection while maximizing its utility. The
expiration date of this collection has been extended to 6-30-99 to
allow time for publication of the final rule and resubmission of
this package.

employers seeking to employ H-1B nonimmigrants in specialty
occupations and as fashion models will permit the Department of
Labor to meet its statutory responsibilities.
