The American Community Survey is a
monthly household survey. As part of the Continuous Measurement
System, it is a new approach for collecting accurate, timely
information needed for critical Government functions. The listing
of addresses in areas where the Census Bureau does not already have
a complete list of addresses will allow us to conduct the American
Community Survey in 2000-2002 in these types of areas. Conducting
the ACS in these areas will allow for a more comprehensive
comparison of the ACS with the decennial census in 2000.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
