This triennial
performance report is approved consistent with the following term
of clearance: If ED seeks to reinstate the annual performance
reporting requirement (1810-0514), ED will address in the
supporting materials of that approval request the necessity/utility
of collecting the data annually versus triennially. OMB notes that
the Improving America's Schools Act of 1994 (PL 103-382) requires
only triennial reporting.
