Abstract: The proposed survey of rent-to-own customers is necessary to help the FTC gain an understanding of the rent-to-own industry, to assist in the assessment of potential consumer protection problems, and to assist in consideration of possible future FTC policy and actions. Respondents are consumers who have rented from a rent-to-own store in the past 5 years.
