Rule 17Ad-18 will require certain
transfer agents to file with the Securities and Exchange Commission
form TA-Y2K. Form TA-Y2K collects information on the transfer
agent's preparation for any erroneous result caused by: (i)
Computer software incorrectly reading the date "01/01/00" as being
the year 1900 or another incorrect year; (ii) computer software
incorrectly identifying a date in the year 1999 or any year
thereafter; (iii) computer software failing to detect that the year
2000 is a leap year; or (iv) any other computer software error that
is directly or indirectly caused by the problems set out in
subparagraph (i).
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
