NTSB will, per
supporting statement publish a Federal Register notice informing
the public that the survey is being conducted and that an emergency
submission has been made to OMB. OMB reminded NTSB staff that
collections currently in use must be renewed and that it is
advisable that these be reinstated immediately, albeit with
emergency processing requests ,followed by the normal notice and
comment.

The National Transportation Safety
Board plans to ask airline passengers who have taken part in an
emergency evacuation of a commercial aircraft to complete a
voluntary passenger questionnaire. This survey will be used to
determine safety issues during the Board's Safety Study on
emergency evacuations from commercial aircraft.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
